Hi everybody :) So happy to bring you another update, We made it to Aries season 2021! Let’s take a moment to reflect on how much wiser and stronger we are now. Sometimes I look at photos of myself when I was younger and it’s so funny to see the clueless look on my face. I would have loved to tell her, “Gabriela grl, you ain’t seen nothing yet!” We have witnessed the earth complete a full cycle while humanity is in pandemic mode and it’s safe to say, we are living in truly extraordinary times. I have mentioned before my decision to prioritize my mental health and I find it kinda sad that this is considered radical in certain settings. People will be like, “That’s so good. Good for you” as if it is something super brave and not simply natural. I think if I was like, “I’m prioritizing my dental health..” people would be like, “..? ew..” Which feels pretty similar now that I have established myself here. Like, wtf was I doing before? Now that I am on this side-the mental health priority side- I see my own conditioning very clearly. I can better see where I have been in the wrong. I can see where I have been in the wrong in dealing with myself and also with others. I feel good about hitting this rough ass patch because the medicine doesn’t always taste good. Amen? I recognize that I was not conditioned to see ease, confidence, leisure, pleasure or even joy as a right. These are things that are earned. You work really hard to finally be at ease, to take pleasure or to feel joy. Don’t you dare part take otherwise. This is the measure at which I have always functioned and also what I hold others to. Which is fucked up. Being on the mental health priority side, I am learning the importance of PEACE first of all. How many times do we sacrifice our peace for any type of gain? Where did we learn to do that? I have personally traded in my peace to be easy going, marketable, agreeable, employed, social, accepted, attractive, professional the list goes on and on. But what really did I gain? Temporary rewards of more work and more skewed perceptions of self, long recovery periods from self betrayal, the need to draw new boundaries. It hurts to have to keep seeing new ways in which I must unlearn and repair. It is inconvenient to have to look back and feel shame for the way I behaved towards myself and other people due to my unhappiness. But this is where change lives! This is the ~shadow work~ this is the medicine. Certain shit that pesters us is only strong in the darkness of our silence and disregard. As soon as we address it, that’s most of the battle won. I am learning to not anchor myself into polarizing opinions or declare war on those who do not agree with me. If they have nothing to teach me or say to me other than, “you’re wrong” then girl, that shit is none of my business quite frankly. It’s not easy, my nature is to be scrappy and stir the pot. That I have had to integrate, because still, I am not afraid of offending those who wake up every day and prepare to be offended. That is part of the programing. We are given weapons to self destruct, to harm each other when we are supposed to be working together. I am committed to not taking the bait and I invite everyone reading this to do the same. Only go as far as your peace will allow. If something does not sit well in your spirit, UNSUBSCRIBE. Remove your attention. Be active and aware of this energy exchange. We are shaping new norms and those who share similar core values will continue to assemble. We are very clearly in a battle for humanity at the moment and trust me when I tell you, accepting to beef with your neighbor now is not a good look. We got bigger fish to fry. I am aware of the negative energy I give off when I am transmuting, I am working on it. I have learned to incubate and hibernate out of respect for me most of all. My ruling planet is SATURN, the great malefic, Satan, the bad guy, I know what instant and dramatic karma feels like, I know what it’s like inside of the whale like Jonah. I am familiar, comfortable and have communed thoroughly with my own shadow. I can see most people’s shadow as soon as I experience them. Why do you think I have a mean streak? It’s in my build. I have to work with what I was blessed with okay? Recently, I have renewed my vows to me. And one of those is the vow to forgive, to silently bless everyone who I come in contact with. I wish them peace, luxury and leisure, I wish them rest and joy as soon as I come in contact with them even mentally, even virtually. I have vowed to check myself as often as I check everyone else for having me fucked up.
